Fadiagens – Voices of Lisbon

In the heart of Alfama dwelled a small ‘tasca’ (a typically Portuguese tavern) called Tascabeat do Rosário, with a particular gift. There, fado and other musical genres merged into what the hosts called ‘fadiagens’ – a wordplay with ‘fado’ and ‘vadiar’ (‘to journey’). During fadiagens, singers, musicians and spectators of all generations came together to travel through the melodies of fado and other countries and cultures. Regardless of differences, everyone at Tascabeat felt at home and had a voice.
